These reclaimed planks were originally installed in mushroom growing warehouses for Campbell’s Soup in 1949! We are salvaging as much as we can and currently have about 1,800 boards in stock. The blonding effect is caused by natural aging as well as a prolonged exposure to vermiculite and vermiculite dust, which may add a preservative/protective element to the wood. It may rot with prolonged exposure to moisture, but notably we haven’t seen a single termite in years. Lots of interesting textures and rustic appeal. The one photo is of restaurant tables in Santa Barbara, California made from these (resurfaced) planks.
