Charlie Browns Timbers,
California Gold Rush origonal hand split, hand hewn, 12" X 12" X 18' etc. morticed and tenon, Framing Super Structure of Timbers, The Ox Barn built by Charles Brown, aka Carlos Moreno, sometime between 1838 and 1847 at 3000 Portola Rd in Woodside Ca . a California State Historic Landmark for the first Saw Mill built in the Area. The Ox Barn was remodeled more than once. The inside Hay Loft, had been converted into what we refer to as a Barndominium clad in sheetrock etc. The First Level Where the Oxen where fed Was also sheet rocked and used for Automobile storage. The Exterior had been turned into a version of Noahs Ark. The first Because of these facts the building itself was no longer Historic and worthy of preservation. Only a small glimps of the Origonal timbers was visible when i undertook deconstruction at the invitation of Owners Tom and Stacey Sieble under the supervision of Martel Construction out of Boseman Montana. That recovery work was performed in 2004.
Charles was known to be a Bombastic character but not necessarily Cartoonish.
